There is a Systema workshop this weekend in Portland, dealing with aspects of knife defense. My apologies for the short notice. I thought this event was later in the month. In any case, this is a great opportunity for Systema training for anybody in the area.

Val is a Systema Instructor certified by Vladimir Vasiliev and currently teaches in New York at Fighthouse. He will be teaching a Systema workshop in Portland on July 6th from 11 am – 5 pm at the Academy of Kung Fu, 3228 SE 21st Ave, Portland, OR.

BMAI is closed for Labor Day weekend. Accordingly, there will be no class this Monday.

BMAI will be hosting the Pacific Martial Arts Conference this coming weekend! There will instructors teaching 25 minute classes in a variety of martial arts all day. It’s an incredible opportunity to learn about some other martial arts, train with people you might not otherwise have a chance to, and generally have all around awesome day for suggested $10 donation.

This is one of my favorite events of the year, and I will be teaching a short segment on Systema. I hope to see you there!
